What you'll learn

Three techniques that cover the whole craft: from centering a ball of clay to glazing the finished piece.

Wheel throwing

Posture, centering, opening and pulling walls. Mugs, bowls, vases. Guided by a ceramist with 8 years of craft.

Hand building

Pinch, slab, coil. The oldest technique in Peru — ideal for sculptural pieces without a wheel.

Glazing & firing

Choose from our in-house palette of 12 glazes. We fire and message you when your piece is ready (2–3 weeks).

FAQ for travelers

Do you speak English?

Yes. Two of our instructors are fluent in English. No problem if you don't speak Spanish.

I'm only in Arequipa for 3 days — what's best?

Either the Discover class (2h, S/150) if you want a quick taste, or the Immersion weekend (S/450) if you want to actually learn.

Can I take my piece with me when I leave?

Pieces need 2–3 weeks to dry, fire and glaze. We ship internationally with DHL if you're leaving before then — around S/120 to most countries.

How do I get there?

10 minutes walking from Plaza de Armas. Manuel Ugarteche 605, Arequipa. Any taxi will know.
